My background is deeply rooted in Health Plan Operations as I have held leadership positions in Program Strategy and Development, Community and Provider Engagement, Quality Improvement, and Health Equity. Through partnerships with Boards of Directors, government officials, and business partners, I have enabled access to health care options for diverse populations.Career Highlights: Established collaborative relationships with county officials and community partners to comply with Department of Health Care Services' (DHCS) Model of Care requirements for the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Initiative, driving higher member engagement.Finalized submission for the DHCS Housing and Homeless Incentive Program (HIPP) that resulted in available funds for four counties. Funding supported temporary and permanent housing for hundreds of people experiencing homelessness. Led enterprise strategic initiatives that increased access to care for health plan members, introduced new services, including Minute Clinic urgent care, virtual primary care with physicans and health coaches, and online educational tools and resources. Shaped a strategic plan that launched the enterprise Social Determinants of Health Governance structure, which systematically analyzed enterprise initiatives that drove healthier populations.Fueled improvement in metrics for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and Consumers Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS), resulting in interventions and subsequent improvements in prenatal and postpartum care, chlamydia screening, pediatric immunizations, and flu vaccine injection.Framed the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Equity Accreditation process that led LAC to be one of the first Medicaid Health Plans to achieve this honor.
