About Naila Mir

My purpose in life is to make a difference to peoples lives and the world we live in. I realise that I can truly make a difference when I'm at my best, when I can be ME and when the people around me are at their best, they can be THEM. I believe that every individual has the passion and purpose to do good and make the world a better place. Every individual if empowered, enabled and guided, can make a positive impact in whatever they do or wherever they work.It is my purpose that led me, after 17 years of corporate experience, to set up P3 Connect. As a Founder and Freelance consultant, my primary focus is people. Spearheaded the global Compass Awards which recognises individuals and teams. A programme that brought together three campaigns into one delivering 10-15% increase in participation levels every year. All partnerships focused on advocacy, communications, employee engagement, business and social impact. Pioneered global partnerships with Oxfam,/Sunlight Dishwash ‘Water Centres’ and Lifebuoy handwashing programmes for emergencies with the aim of creating a blueprint for rollout across Africa and Asia. Developed Unilever's first Global Disaster and Emergency Strategy designed to help global emergencies like Typhoon Haiyan and rehabilitate communities and in turn create business impact. Managed the relationships with Unilever Foundation’s NGO Partners and delivered over €4 million in cash and product donations to global emergencies. Responsible for overall communication strategy and provided guidance to the rest of the Partnerships team in over 50 countries. Developed a three year Sustainable Living Plan for Pakistan, which involved engaging and training over 1300 managers across the business. Responsible for change management communication for U2K2 – SAP implementation across the business. Lead external & internal engagement and communication including leadership communication, corporate and employee campaigns & events. Provided advocacy and PR support to and was a spokesperson for some of Unilever brands social Partnerships. In 2008, together with Surf Unilever Pakistan’s fastest growing brand launched the Dirt is Good campaign which addressed the issue of child development. In partnership with ITA, one of Pakistan’s largest NGO’s, experiential learning was made part of the Punjab government curriculum with Surf sponsored educational material delivered to over 10,000 public schools. Through the consumer facing programme we raised funds to build 30 playgrounds across Pakistan and helped rehabilitate 30 schools post floods in 2010 that impacted over 20 million Pakistanis. Surf image measurement (share of endorsement) shows an increase of 3 % in both Trust share and importance of environment.Managed disaster and emergency response. Worked with the global team and the 5 Global partners as well as local partners on flood relief and Lifebuoy hygiene awareness supporting over 30 000 families.
