CurrentResponsibilities • Point of contact for Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare insurance policies • Answer patient insurance and billing questions • Obtain and process credit card payments by patients via phone • Post payments from various insurance companies via EFT, Paper Check, and Credit Card card to patient accounts • Post denial and adjustments from various insurance companies to patient accounts • Learned and used All Scripts Practice Management and Electronic Health Record efficiently • Work in team dynamic and closely with co-workers to ensure effective cash flow and insurance processing • Follow up with insurance companies to improve Aging Accounts Receivable and follow through with claim correction and re-submission as needed. • Prepare recoupment requests from insurance companies and present them to Billing Supervisor for processing
