I am an experienced Project Architect currently fulfilling the role of a Senior Design Manager in the commercial architectural field on a large scale international project.My primary skills are: Highly skilled in Client Liaison, Team Management, Architectural Design, Architectural Project Management, and Construction Site Management.During my tenure at GLH as a senior architect and director, I have completed a wide range of projects over the last 17 years. I have gained extensive experience in complex large scale projects and my natural ability to manage, problem solve and build relationships has resulted in the delivery of successful, high-quality projects of world class architectural design, technical precision, and expert project coordination from the conceptual design stage to project handover. I have the ability to facilitate and interact with the entire project team from my staff, to the client, consultants and the contractors. My hands on leadership style ensures that I naturally become involved in all aspects of any project within the company.With my deep passion for architecture and the quality of the built environment I am an avid mentor and thrive on new challenges.In my role as financial and business director at GLH Architects I have steered GLH through an economically challenging period and a slow down in the South African construction industry as well as the COVID 19 pandemic, while we still continue to design and deliver exceptional award-winning architecture.I look forward to continue to enhance the built and spatial environment through architectural excellence in medium to large scale developments, utilising my range of design and technical expertise, skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience as a catalyst within a challenging and rewarding role.
