During my postdoctoral research, I developed an enhanced optical aptasensing platform utilizing mesoporous silica nanoparticles for the detection of Iron-Regulated Surface Determinant Protein A (IsdA). Additionally, I conducted surface plasmon resonance aptasensing and computational analysis of the Staphylococcus aureus IsdA surface protein. I was also involved in the development and characterization of a portable electrochemical aptasensor for the detection of IsdA protein and Staphylococcus aureus. Beyond my research projects, I co-supervised PhD students, guiding them in their experiments and academic progress. I actively contributed to an NSF-funded project, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals. My responsibilities also included managing lab operations, analyzing experimental data, and publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Through these activities, I honed my skills in biosensor development, data analysis, and academic mentorship.

During my postdoctoral research, I received extensive training in a clean room environment and gained expertise in preparing microelectrode arrays. I co-supervised a graduate student, providing guidance and support in their research projects. I actively contributed to lab management, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of equipment, and played a key role in analyzing experimental data. My involvement in grant writing efforts helped secure funding for ongoing research projects. My responsibilities also extended to publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrating my ability to disseminate scientific knowledge effectively.

During my postdoctoral research, I specialized in the preparation of various nanoparticles, including Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles (MSN), Titanium Nanoparticles (TiNPs), Copper Nanoparticles (CuNPs), Titanium Oxide Nanoparticles (TiONPs), and Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs). I developed a novel fluorescent aptasensor based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles for the selective and sensitive detection of saxitoxin in shellfish, which demonstrated significant advancements in detection capabilities. Additionally, I contributed to the optimization and characterization of these nanoparticles for diverse applications in biosensing. My work involved extensive experimental design and data analysis, ensuring high accuracy and reliability of the results. I also played a pivotal role in lab operations, including the maintenance and calibration of sophisticated instrumentation. Furthermore, I co-supervised graduate students, offering mentorship and support in their research endeavors. I actively participated in collaborative projects, contributing to the interdisciplinary nature of our research team. My efforts in writing and securing research grants helped facilitate ongoing and future projects. I consistently published our research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, highlighting my commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation.
