As Lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Control Engineer, I have assumed the critical role of training and leading junior engineers throughout projects and managing project scheduling. In this capacity, I provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements. Additionally, I collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that project tasks are prioritized and completed in a timely manner. By assuming this leadership role, I have enhanced my ability to foster teamwork, communicate effectively, and drive project success.

* Responsibilities:- Prepare overall automation system design basis, I/O requirements, and control system network architecture- Generate controls and automation system design documents- Interface with third-party vendor sub-systems using common industrial communication protocols- Work closely with Process-Control Engineers to ensure Control Narrative accuracy and eliminate gaps- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment on automation system design- Supervise junior Engineers and Technologists to ensure accurate delivery of engineering deliverables- Maintain complete project documentation- Travel to plant installations for start-up and commissioning- Startup and commission new and retrofitted control systems- On-site testing and validation of control systems- Debug electrical wiring issues- Supervise the installation of electrical contractors- System check-out of all I/O, alarms/faults, and modes of operation* Skills:- Expertise in programming PLCs and HMIs with Siemens STEP 7, Siemens WinCC- Experience with programming in Ladder, FBD, SCL and STL languages- Experience with wiring CAD design based on European standards- Knowledge of specifying instruments and sensors- Familiarity with IEC standard and applicable electrical design standards- Experience with PLC & HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting across major platforms (Rockwell/AB and Siemens products)- High-level analytical ability for solving unusual and difficult problems- High-level interpersonal skills for effective collaboration- Self-motivated with a high level of resourcefulness- Experience setting up and configuring VFDs (Siemens, Danfoss, and ABB)
