Currently, I leverage my expertise in multiple remote roles to support education at various levels.As a Program Mentor at Western Governors University, I provide personalized academic support to teacher candidates, aiding aspiring educators in earning their degrees and teacher licensures. Simultaneously, I serve as a Math Specialist at EdLight, contributing to the development of artificial intelligence, and I also enhance K-12 math education by creating engaging curriculum materials as a freelance content development.My journey in education began with a profound commitment to teaching in my hometown. For over 8 years, I served as an Algebra I instructor, achieving remarkable success with 100% of the school's standardized test scores. Additionally, I taught remedial math courses as an adjunct professor, equipping students with foundational skills for college-level mathematics.My dedication to providing resources and opportunities for students led to receiving the Qualitative Math and Science grant, enhancing the learning experience. Throughout my career, I have been honored with several awards, including the Louisiana Association of Math Teachers' New Teacher of the Year, Desoto Parish's Teacher of the Year and a Louisiana State Teacher of the Year Semi-finalist. Building upon my passion for education, I earned a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Currently, I am furthering my academic journey by pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from South College.I am deeply passionate about making a meaningful impact in the field of education and am excited to connect and collaborate with like-minded professionals who share this vision.
