Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, I’m a third culture kid who’s experienced the beauty and struggle of connecting with multiple cultures. I’ve synthesized that experience into my process of storytelling and collaboration in my work as a writer, director, producer, actor, artistic and communications consultant. With a multidisciplinary background in theatre, film and television, and 10+ years of expertise in writing, directing, producing and acting, I bring a versatile and unique perspective to the world of artistic consulting and communications that focuses on the innate power of storytelling and connecting with audiences. With productions, projects and events staged and produced in New York, Philadelphia, Providence and South Africa, and work within Ivy League academic institutions (Brown University, Columbia University) and the tech industry (NXTech, Pocket Gems, Wattpad), I create dynamic experiences and moving narrative arcs that both engage and thrills audiences from varying backgrounds. An Orchard Project Labs Fellow, Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship Finalist, and a nominated artist for the Mabou Mines Suite Space Artist Residency, I’ve worked with award winning artists such as the Emmy nominated emerging media artist Lance Weiler, filmmaker Ricky Staub, playwright Ifa Bayeza, choreographer Mercedes Ellington, and experimental theatre artist, Carl Hancock Rux.I also wear the hat of Public Speaking Coach and Storytelling Consultant, working with companies and agencies such as Giant Shoulders, CIC Innovation Campus, Yoku AI, ThriveIEP and NXTech. Working with both individuals and teams, I relish the collaborative learning process of private 1:1 sessions and group workshops. (To learn more about my experiential approach to coaching checkout: creativeactscoaching.com.)Embarking on a new chapter, I’m merging my passion for storytelling, collaboration and interdisciplinary work with the world of consulting by launching Wild Crux Productions, a mashup of an immersive theatre company, production house, and creative agency that will bring clients and audiences deep into the heart of theatrical and cinematic stories that come to life.Have a brand, event, or project that needs a unique narrative driven immersive experience?
