Responsibilities include:Project management and timescale planning.Leading and teaching a large team while ensuring high quality finished results on restoration projects and various types of woodwork. The knowledge and application of different spray finishes on different materials. The knowledge and application of digital fabrications and 3D scanning, leading to physical fabrication and finishing of bespoke items.

Working in both a workshop environment and on-site for various builds. Processing wood from rough sawn to PAR. Following cutting lists and working to rough drawings. Restoration work on historic buildings including beam repairs, rot removal and general restoration. Crafting custom doors, window frames and bespoke furniture from scratch. Brick laying. Hand painting furniture and building exteriors.

I worked primarily in the sanding shop, preparing bespoke pieces for primer or lacquer by removing impurities via sanding, using both hand and power tools, I would also do the same after the lacquer was applied, going through various grades for a high gloss finish.

While working at Scales & Models I started as an apprentice and quickly worked my way up to Production Manager. During my time there I constructed high-end finished products for various high profile clients over a wide range of products. These products included Architectural Models, Interactive Props for commercial and media use, Bespoke Furniture for commercial venues, Detailed Scaled Models for museums, small runs of mass production items such as menu boards and custom 3D printed items. I was heavily involved in both the design aspects and manufacturing of all projects that came in and I was in charge of all the CNC operations in house. A lot of the products required spray finishes and I was heavily involved with this aspect too.As Production Manager I would oversee the projects, source the materials and manage the deadlines. I had a strong team of 3 underneath me who like me, started with no prior experience, within 6 months they became like a small family and projects which had unrealistic deadlines were being finished on time with great quality. We remain in contact to this day.
