I’ve been involved in the exhibition industry since 1995. I began my career as Project Manager for a trade show and special events company based in Munich, Germany. During my five years with the company I planned and organised trade and consumer shows in various German cities.In April 2001 I moved to the USA to work for Hall-Erickson, Inc. in Chicago, USA supporting the organisation of The Motivation Show – at the time, the world's largest incentive merchandise and travel show. From there I joined the IMEX Group as Organising Manager and was an integral part of the launch team for the first IMEX in Frankfurt exhibition that took place in April 2003. I was promoted to Organising Director in 2004. In 2011 I was again a key member of the launch team for IMEX America taking place in Las Vegas, USA which won the Exhibition News Awards’ Best International Launch Award in April 2012. As well as running the organising department I am also involved in the strategic development and decision making of the IMEX Group’s operations and overall strategy. I work alongside all internal teams to continuously develop, innovate and implement a strategy for continued success; as well as ensure team collaboration. I am also a mentor and coach – assisting staff in implementing best practices within the business. Over the years I have become a high profile advocate for the business and regularly take part in various events and exhibitions to represent and market the IMEX brand and the meetings and exhibition industries as a whole. Born and raised in Germany, I was brought up with a great awareness for the environment and a passion for sustainability. I have worked closely with Messe Frankfurt and the Sands Expo, as well as all IMEX suppliers, to set sustainable objectives on which to focus on throughout the planning process and the onsite execution of both IMEX exhibitions. As a result, IMEX is now one of the leading exhibitions in the sector in terms of sustainability achievements.
