I have gained hands-on experience in the design of high-end single-family residences (including hillside residences), multi-family/mixed-use podium projects, mid-rise structures as well as retrofit projects. I have the ability to effectively manage projects independently. The key takeaways from my experience include strong time management skills and the ability to create well-thought-out plans and precise calculations.I am proficient in developing design criteria and designing both gravity and lateral systems, primarily utilizing codes such as CBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, TMS 402, AISC 360, and AISC 341.My passion lies in working on high end single family residences as well as multi-family podium projects, which is supported by my educational background at UCLA. The first project dealt with the development of a low cost porous concrete filter that could be used to filter cementitious waste water from various on-site activities/pre-cast member factories . For this purpose experiments were performed to understand the following:(i) Effect of cementitious particles on the percolation rate of porous concrete(ii) Effect of suspended particles on the percolation rate of porous concreteThe second project dealt with studying the variation in workability of cement pastes due to addition of different nanomaterials. Major objective was to review the performance of reduced graphene oxide modified Portland cement paste in comparison to popular nanomaterials such as MWCNT, alumina and silica nanoparticles.
