Hello,I am recent graduate with a B.A. in international studies from IU Bloomington. I have a strong passion for climate justice, gender equality, and sustainable food systems. Complementing my international studies major, I pursued a minor in African studies, which has provided me with a deeper understanding of the interplay between environmental issues and socio-cultural dynamics. This interdisciplinary approach has enriched my research and allowed me to explore innovative solutions to the unique challenges faced by different regions.My academic journey reflects my commitment to integrating the environment into every aspect of my education. Through research, internships, and coursework, I have focused on environmental policy and its intersection with social justice issues such as climate justice and gender equality. I firmly believe that addressing climate change requires an inclusive and equitable approach that uplifts marginalized communities. One of the highlights of my time at IU was serving as a delegate to COP27, where I actively contributed to the international dialogue on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. In addition to my academic pursuits, I nurture a love for exploration and travel. I have been fortunate to visit fourteen countries across five continents by my early twenties. My ultimate goal is to set foot on all seven continents, including Antarctica, in my quest to understand diverse cultures and environments.Balancing work and life, I find joy in various hobbies. Spending time outdoors allows me to appreciate the beauty of nature that I strive to protect. Exploring new recipes aligns with my commitment to sustainable food systems and supports my belief in the power of conscious consumption. I also find solace in reading and expressing my creativity through music and art. Looking ahead, I plan to further deepen my understanding of the legal aspects of environmental policy and social justice issues by attending law school.
