Dr. Namekar is currently licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas. He has over twenty years of research/consulting experience in civil engineering in the USA. He has over eleven years of post doctorate consulting experience in geotechnical engineering discipline which primarily includes preparing fee proposals, planning and supervising the geotechnical explorations, coordinating geotechnical laboratory testing and analyzing results, preparing instrumentation and monitoring plans, monitoring data review, writing reports, reviewing reports prepared by project managers, providing geotechnical designs and recommendations, providing post-design services such as specification preparations, submittals and RFIs reviews, and geotechnical construction monitoring etc. He enjoys working as a team, training and mentoring staff engineers and project managers as needed. Major projects he successfully handled include but not limited to landslide investigations, static and seismic slope stability analyses, ground improvements primarily using jet grouting, shallow and deep foundation designs and special inspection, horizontal directional drilling, settlement analysis, lateral earth pressure, improvements of existing dams, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, Phase I and II ESA, geologic fault studies, beach nourishment, flexible and rigid pavement designs, geotechnical construction monitoring, construction in expansive soils, remedial measures to reduce swelling and design of detention ponds etc. He has worked on numerous residential, commercial, geoforensic and city/county/state funded projects in Hawaii and Texas.
