My position is an Employment Specialist "Job Coach" for high school students with disabilities. It is my responsibility to work with the students/families to prepare them and business develop in the community for paid employment opportunities after exiting the high school special education program. I travel between 4 local high schools and work one on one with students in assessing the student to see what area to focus on for jobs,Resume building,applications,preparing for interviews,then upon hiring, will train with the student until student is comfortable with their job duties/ employment plan. My philosophy is "Everyone Can Work".

Responsible for enrolling, scheduling classes, student files, attendance,working with school social worker for identification of families in need and attendance issues,withdrawal of students, preparation and sending of student files to next school,ensuring that all student information is correct and up to date (i.e. address and telephone changes) and input in the district data base. Work with Administration and teachers to ensure that all students are accounted for!
