Senior aid and implementer of the priorities of the Children and Family Services (CFS) Senior Leadership Team. Serves as a liaison between Global Refuge partner organizations, Global Refuge, and federal unaccompanied minors (UC) stakeholders. Provides oversight and coordination of a continuum of programs to ensure holistic, culturally competent services for unaccompanied refugee and migrant children (URM) and their families. Ensures the effectiveness and quality of services through supportive program management, monitoring, data management, trend analysis and evaluation, training, and technical assistance. Works in close collaboration with the Vice President and Directors to identify trends, and opportunities to enhance program services, advance the department’s advocacy agenda, and implement recommendations for effective quality service delivery of UC and URM programs.

Provided oversight and support to project implementation teams for a suite of projects housed in the regional programs, including ensuring the development of strategies, budgets, work plans, implementation schedules, monitoring and evaluation plans, reports, and other deliverables that meet project requirements. Ensured successful start-up, delivery, and close-out of these projects, including results achievement, compliance with client regulations, adherence to URC policies and standards, coordination of headquarters support to project teams, and monitoring client satisfaction. Contributed to the growth of the regional portfolio, participating in various strategic business development roles, including monitoring future opportunities, conducting capture, nurturing potential partners, identifying key personnel, and leading and managing proposals.

Responsible for the establishment and oversight of key program and operational systems at CREA that aligned with the organization’s strategic growth, best practices, knowledge management efforts and achievements and results. Worked proactively with Program Directors and their teams to identify business development opportunities and areas for organizational improvement. Proposed and implemented effective processes and procedures to ensure programs and grants were delivered on scope, time, and budget and in accordance with donor regulations. Contributed to the organization’s development strategy promoting growth and advancement of CREA’s work globally via potential expansion into new regions and countries. Raised the organization’s profile through internal and external communications and meetings and provided mentoring, guidance, supervision, and professional development to staff.

Provided leadership and direction to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of Jhpiego’s portfolio in West and Central Africa (WCA). Collaborated with country directors and country teams, regional advisors, and program and technical staff to identify and implement regional and country strategies and programs in a broad range of technical areas, including reproductive health and family planning, maternal and child health, malaria, HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases and quality improvement. Charged with coaching and supervising country directors, supporting them with the implementation of organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance, setting and managing team goals, and providing oversight on project workplans, budgets, and human resources to ensure smooth functioning of the Regional portfolio across a total of 12 countries.As Director for WCA, was responsible for building and nurturing strong ties with donors, partners and key stakeholders, including high- level government leaders, at headquarters and the field levels. Represented Jhpiego at global and regional technical, donor and partner conferences, consultations and forums, contributing to steering discussions/sessions towards positive outcomes that influence decision making and that impacted Jhpiego’s brand.

Lead and managed the growth of the West and Central Africa (WCA) regional portfolio, promoting strategic engagement of country offices in line with Jhpiego’s five-year strategic plan and measures of success. Forged partnerships with WCA country directors, country teams and business development staff to design detailed business development strategies and plans to help generate new business to maintain existing country offices and expand into new countries in Central Africa (DRC, Chad and Cameroon).

Ensured strategic and programmatic oversight for country programs in Cote d’Ivoire and Haiti, utilizing solid project management practices and tools to stay within scope, schedule, and budget. Wrote and reviewed reports for donors with Country Office for CDC and USAID.
