Engine performance looks at the airflow (or thermodynamics) in the engine to determine power (or thrust) output, heat rate (how much fuel is burned) and engine temperatures/pressures.* Responsible for new development, production and field activity on the LM2500 engine. Working with a global team to support the LM2500 activities.* Training and leading new coworkers on performance analysis.

* Performance leader for the certification of the CT7-8A6/8A7 engine that will go on the S92A and CH148 helicopter. This entails working with other design groups to provide engine cycle data and completing engine testing requirements for FAA certification. * Performance focal point for turboshaft engine proposals. Determine power/fuel flow and internal thermodynamic properties for the engines, which are used to set the hardware requirements. This contributed to GE turboshaft engine wins on the NH90, KHP, CH148 and S92A helicopter.* Improved the power check algorithm used to determine engine margin on commercial aircraft. Led a team to implement a similar process on the Army engines to reduce their variation by 40%.* Created a program to evaluate engine performance to determine acceptability before shipment to customers. This program automated the rating process to generate faster, more accurate and repeatable results.

* Responsible for hardware in the compressor of two commercial engines.* Dispositioned non-conformances on hardware as an MRB certified engineer - worked with organizations in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Poland, India and China.* Worked with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances by improving the design of the parts and the manufacturing process. These changes resulted in cost reductions of more than 15%.* Led a team to redesign a compressor seal to reduce engine vibrations - performed vibration analysis, stress analysis, created drawings and worked with manufacturing.* Performed overspeed (burst) analysis to certify a new engine to the FAA.
