Nancy Cardozo has over 30 years of professional experience working in the not-for-profit (18 years) and post-secondary (12 years) sectors. She currently serves as the Vice President, Development, at Junior Achievement BC. Prior to that she held the position of Director of Advancement for the Faculty of Science (4 years, 4 months) and Director of Advancement at the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology (1 year, 8 months) at Simon Fraser University. During her previous posting as Associate Director of Development at the University of British Columbia, her fundraising portfolio included interdisciplinary research and graduate programs. Nancy is committed to engaging philanthropic partners in support of education. Her success is attributable to her passion in building meaningful relationships with those who wish to advance these goals for the benefit of society. Before her arrival in Canada in 2005, Nancy held executive positions in the not-for-profit sector in biodiversity conservation and in international commerce, enabling her to develop a rich experience in international fundraising. Nancy holds a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion, and completed her Masters of Business Administration studies at the Escuela de Administracion de Negocios (EDAN) in her native Paraguay. She completed her Masters in Philanthropy and Non-profit Leadership degree at Carleton University on August 2017. Nancy is fluent in English, Spanish and Guarani.
