Back on 2004, I was a runner. But my lower back always hurts. Those two cannot go together. I went for physios and later did kt taping on my back. It worked, but the process was complicated, and the kinesiology tape(also called sports tape) roll cost was a burden to use every time. I could only use five times per tape roll. And it was tricky to reach my back by myself. Even though I could reach it, I had to know the proper applying methods. Moreover, I always felt guilty whenever disposing of the used tape straps in the trash bin. While studying these therapies, I also sold customers several global tapes and supporter brands. I studied them to provide better knowledge so people like my could feel better by picking the right product. But the users also complained of similar troubles, and I had to find an easier way to benefit anyone like me. Then I came up with the idea, “Why not just put sticky silicones from the stick-on-bra that work again and again, and wear them as clothes? That makes everything easier.” So that was just the first concept idea of WaveWear, wearing the wave patterns that reflect from the inner shape of kinesiology tape. But the sticky silicone I was looking for was not in the market. The silicone will peel apart from the fabric or become torn while using and not remain sticky. If I wanted to make it thinner, it absorbed the fabric and left only stains. If thickening the silicone, it felt uncomfortable and stiffy. That is when I determined to make the BWAS(Bio-Waved Adhesive Silicone) that became the fundamental differentiator of WaveWear. And now what? We made BWAS conductive. That is called ElecSil; our electronic silicone works as electrodes and biosensors measuring body conditions such as vital or movement.
