Nancy Cooper has retired from her role at the Ontario Long Term Care Association. During the past twenty years Nancy consistently brought her analytical skills and depth of knowledge to help shape OLTCA’s advocacy and sector thought leadership. She remains committed to using evidence to advance innovative solutions and new ways to shaping the future of Ontario’s health care system that is currently based on models of care sprung from the early 20th century. It is time to move forward boldly and build a system around population holistic care needs and not around buildings or providers. Nancy holds a graduate degree in Health Services Administration from Dalhousie University, an undergraduate degree from McGill University in science, and co-led a post graduate course on knowledge translation while appointed as Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Nancy has published in the areas of knowledge translation and sector performance improvement.OLTCA is Ontario’s largest association of publicly funded private, non-profit, municipal and First Nation operators of long term care homes.
