After acquiring the new position as a lead, I have gained the responsibility of reviewing and approving account reconciliations and journal entries regarding company payroll postings. Added to the tasks I did as a Senior Accountant, instead of reconciling the payroll disbursement bank accounts, I record real estate tax payments and accruals.

The tasks associated with this position are posting journal entries for month-end, analyzing and interpreting data from the general ledger, and reconciling multiple accounts on a monthly basis. I am specifically responsible for recording salespeople's commissions under their appropriate sales locations and reconciling the payroll bank disbursement accounts for a company of 15,000+ employees. In addition, I help management research and explain complex accounting issues when they arise.

At Central Market, I collected accurate payment from customers, kept up to date on products that were sold, monitored and managed potential front-end shrink, and provided great customer service. As info desk worker I received customer returns and exchanges as well as listened to customer complaints and provide solutions.

My responsibilities included inputing entries into QuickBooks, reconciling cash and checks to record deposit slips, preparing bills, invoices, and ensured their accuracy, and worked independently with minimal supervision.
