In 2003, I retired as a Yeoman in the U.S. Navy, and within a few years, I began a career in higher education. During and after the Navy, I continued my education, earning a doctorate in Organization and Management, master's in Administration, and bachelor's in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. While I really enjoyed working with students, I also find fulfillment working as an administrator. In February 2019, I left higher education and by July was employed as an Administrative Manager for the U.S. Census Bureau’s Decennial Operations and was promoted to Regional Technician a short time later. Working on the 2020 Census was a tremendous opportunity that provided an exciting administrative challenge. As expected, that position ended, so I have been working in Human Resources in the dental industry, an environment I became familiar with working at Career Colleges. Now moving to North Carolina to be closer to family, I hope to continue my career in Human Resources Management but would also embrace a return to higher education.
