Explores type as image, magazine and publication layout and infographic design, as well as, context effects on legibility and readability, type in sequence and typographic systems.Digital Media Design II ((Fall-2 sections & Spring)Digital media and production course that explores basic coding for web (html and css), ux design and motion graphics using leading edge software for web and interactive design. Concepts and content include visual language for screens and devices, exploration of time-based media, audio/video integration, user feedback tools and digital portfolios. 2D Design (Fall)Foundation level studio art course that explores the application and appreciation of the principles and elements of design, with emphasis on line, form, color and texture, as applied to two-dimensional space.Package Design (Spring)Through theory, demonstrations and practical application, students learn to design in three-dimensions. Focus is placed on aesthetics, as well as the form and function of a product's housing, branding and conceptual relationships between object and package.Interactive Media (Spring)Intermediate level visual interface design, motion graphics, and interaction design through theory, demonstration and practical application. Assignments focus on digital craft, creativity, and presentation. Emphasis on digital and interactive media, and functionality, usability, and user experience.
