We succeeded. In Jan. 1974,the UFW asked me to come to their headquarters in La Paz (Tehachipi) to become the Business Manager of their Newspaper, El Malcriado. I served there and then moved to Delano to complete construction of the first Farm Worker Retirement Building- housing 27 Filipino retired farm workers. I worked there for one year until end of 1974.
