Now, I will be pursuing a variety of opportunities including travel, volunteering at museums, participating in field work at both paleontological and archeological sites. ALS Oil & Gas - Reservoir Laboratories acquired Ellington & Associates, Inc., April 2014. Job responsibilities were similar to those at Ellington. They included project coordination, micropaleontological sample analysis, proposal and report generation, pricing, technical editing, promotional activities, and mentoring young geoscience professionals. This later role focused on preparing them for challenges in industry. Work included both conventional and unconventional projects, domestic and international. Primary projects involved biostratigraphy and geochronology. Recent studies included On and Offshore GOM, Colombia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Geologist and biostratigraphic coordinator whose role is to assist with paleontologic and stratigraphic projects worldwide, and promote the company’s products and services. Responsible for the development of chronostratigraphic frameworks & integrated geologic models for exploration and exploitation reservoir characterization studies including the identification of depositional systems and flow units. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team insured that all data were integrated including logs, biostratigraphy, petrophysics, core and seismic, and that technology was transferred through client participation & training. Also, responsible for marketing and strategic business development, and designed work programs / proposals. Primary focus was Mexico: clastic / carbonate stratigraphy in the Burgos & Veracruz basins, Cordoba Platform, East Coast & Bay of Campeche.>Participated in marketing presentations in Venezuela that resulted in a new reservoir study.>Completed successful field studies that identified by-passed pay & new play opportunities.>Acted as a geoconsultant for several prospect evaluation and generation studies in Mexico.>Completed highly successful integrated Tertiary Sequence Stratigraphy project in Bay of Campeche that involved coordination of paleontological data & workshop with Dr. Peter Vail in Mexico.>Successfully taught StratWorks course in Spanish & gave presentation on sequence stratigraphy in Mexico.

Sr. Staff Geologist, Worldwide Exploration Business Group 1994-1997 Nigeria / Yemen: responsible for prospect generation, block and farm out evaluations, generating play concepts, developing geologic models, clastic and carbonate stratigraphic interpretations, sequence stratigraphy, seismic interpretation, assessing risk and resource potential including calculating recoverable reservoirs, log analysis, subsurface mapping, cross-sections, integration of well data, documentation & database management. Sr. Staff Paleontologist, Geoscience Technical Services 1988-1994 Responsibilities included biostratigraphic & paleoenvironmental interpretations that aided & enhanced international projects. Co-located with multi-disciplinary team to insure integrated results; the role focused on application utilizing foraminifera to enhance well log correlation, sequence stratigraphy & graphic correlation techniques. Accountability included interpretation, documentation, mapping, cross-section generation, mentoring, database management & data integration including geology, core, seismic, stable isotopes, palynology (pollen & dinoflagellates) and nannofossils. Sr. Paleontologist, Houston Region Exploration 1980-1988 Responsibility focused on biostratigraphic & paleoenvironmental interpretations using foraminifera & ostracodes that aided domestic / international projects; worked closely with geoscientists to insure integrated results. Accountability included sample preparation & analysis, data generation, interpretation, cross-section generation, mentoring, documentation of new taxa, creating reference slide collections & reports. In the U.S. worked the Miocene, Anahuac, Frio, Vicksburg / Post-Vicksburg, Jackson, Yegua, Claiborne, Wilcox & Midway including Lobo / Perdido trends.
