Led a department of Statisticians and Statistical Programmers (18 leaders, ~110 individual contributors) in North America and India, providing biostatistical services in a strategic partnership, focusing on adherence to client standards, exemplary customer service, and technical expertise. • Reorganized the department to better leverage the skillsets of the leadership team, re-established trust with the client through listening and responding to their needs; effectively resourced and trained staff.• Collaborated with three other senior leaders to carry out the post-merger integration of two legacy deliverables-based Biostatistics departments into a single, global Biostatistics department (~325 staff), identifying best practices while maintaining uninterrupted, high quality client support.

Directed the activities of a global Statistical Programming department in a traditional, deliverables-based environment across a variety of mid-size to large pharmaceutical companies. • Led the North American Statistical Programming team (13 leaders and ~100 individual contributors).• Took the group from a negative profit margin to hitting the target margin over the course of 1.5 years.

Provided oversight for Data Management, Stats, Programming, Medical Writing and Administrative staff. Contributed to proposals, developed budgets and managed the same after implementation. Worked with clients to ensure needs were met, supported career development of direct reports.

Managed a team of statistical programmers supporting various clients in a traditional CRO setting. Contributed to development of updated SOPs, training of staff and mentoring other managers. Provided leadership and strategic direction to teams of programmers supporting Oncology and Cardiovascular projects. Major achievements include overseeing an sNDA in the Cardiovascular team and supporting the expedited timelines from IND to POC (3 years) in the Oncology team, as well as leading the complete overhaul of the Systems Development Life Cycle for the global Statistical Programming team, yielding a well-defined and efficient process that closed existing quality gaps.

Led project teams from a Statistical Programming perspective, ensuring reporting needs were understood and carried out properly. Responsibilities included development of specifications and SAS programs for datasets and TLFs, overseeing the work of support programmers and collaborating with cross-functional study team members. Started as an entry-level programmer and was promoted two times over two years to a senior position in recognition of stellar performance.

Provided data cleaning and SAS programming under the direction of a team of Statisticians to generate report-ready TLFs for retrospective studies.
