My position allows me to connect the families, students, and schools with resources in the community to support and fulfill the mission of the campus and the district. Establishing strong relationships and partnerships with community partners and faith-based leaders allows me to support families, teachers, and leaders. As the district representative that oversees the Private Nonprofit Schools, I ensure funds are set aside based on the numbers of low-income students who reside in the attendance areas and attend participating private schools. Students are selected for services using multiple educational criteria created by campus administrators and Aldine ISD PNP Schools representative. To be served, a student must meet the academic criteria and live in a participating Title I school district attendance area. Ongoing collaboration regarding program effectiveness, reviewing data and academic needs of the students and teachers, process requests for professional development, program implementation, maintaining local control, and reviewing financial records and data reported on the grant applications are a sample of what this position entails.
