About Nancy Heimbach

After graduating from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in 1993 with majors in Operations and Marketing, I worked in various jobs in Operations Manager and General Manager. In 1995 I came to Yellowknife for the fishing and stayed for the lifestyle. In 1999, Richard Barnes and I started Cold Mountain Computing Inc. combining his technical knowledge with my marketing and management to build a thriving web software development company. After fifteen years, the kids were growing and I had less energy for the pressures of private business. I decided it was time for change, so I joined the GNWT as a Project Manager for Information Systems. Richard is still running Cold Mountain Computing Inc, and I am still working with him part time providing management support. Between the two I manage to keep pretty busy, but I still make time for the fishing.
