I have worked in the medical field since 1980. I started at a small White Settlement Hospital, a very small med/surg hospital, as a Unit Secretary. After about 3 years I worked part time as Unit Secretary and part time Pharmacy Tech. In 1985, I moved to admitting and stayed there till 1986. I only left there because the hospital had changed hands and was not doing well and in my best interest I left and went to All Saints Episcopal Hospital. The pharmacist that had trained me at White Settlement had left and gone to All Saints and she was able to hire me as a pharmacy tech. After one year I transferred to All Saints Cityview Hospital and worked evenings in the Business Office. I pre-admitted patients for surgery and out-patient tests. The main duty was to work in the ER admitting patients as they came. I had a small child and working evenings was difficult. I had the opportunity to work Monday-Friday at CPC Oak Bend Hospital, a mental health and substance abuse hospital, in the business office. I started in May 1988 and remained there till the hospital closed in April 1993. I have been with Dr. Kumar Since April 18, 1993.
