I served over 20 years in the private sector as a personal caregiver to those opting to stay in their own home instead of relocating to a facility. I saw a need in our geriatric community to have non-medical caregivers. I took a small business course with the SBDC and learned how to operate a business. I applied for a license with the Department of Aging and Disability. I knew if I was providing the caregivers, that there would be background checks, drug-testing, and someone overseeing the care provided. I wanted to protect the elderly that I came in contact with from abuse, neglect or exploitation. I knew I could make a difference and that is how StayKare began.

  I am licensed as a Home and Community Support Services Agency, (HCSSA) providing non-medical caregivers for those in need. We work to make your loved one feel safe and comfortable in his or her own setting. Helping them maintain dignity and self-respect, thru the aging process. We provide personal care such as bathing/toileting, oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry along with shopping and errands. We also provide companionship by conversing , doing art and playing games.
