As an independent Sustainability Consultant, I provided design advice for new developments to a range of clients including Architects, Developers, and Town Planners in accordance with the Energy Efficiency requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA). Key responsibilities included:- Investigating available software for thermal analysis and day-lighting, including Design Builder, IES, Energy Plus, and Ecotect.- Creating models of new residential developments using BersPro to improve thermal properties, including single dwellings and high rise multi-unit developments- Managing the submission of BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) Certificates required for new residential development applications in NSW, which aim to reduce the energy and water consumption of new homes
