Nancy Kagan is a fixer. Give her a problem and watch it disappear. She also knows dental practice operations. After working for several years as a hygienist, she formed a temporary placement agency serving dental practices on the South Shore under the name Dental Temporaries. When she was presented with an opportunity to manage a large group practice, she sold her business and presided over two successful practices for twenty-five years. In 2004, she began to visualize a company that would develop systems and procedures to make dental practices more efficient and successful; and founded Summit Dental Partners as a practice management solutions provider focused on helping dental practices optimize operations, customer service, and profit. Since that time, Nancy has co-founded the Summit Dental Institute for Learning, and recently founded Summit Outsourcing Solutions, an A/R outsourcing firm for dental practices.In both businesses, Nancy enjoys building strong relationships with her clients and enjoys watching a staff transition from skeptical to invested, motivated, and more productive. Her greatest reward is seeing a practice flourish after working with the Summit Team to building a strategic foundation for sustainable success. Business OwnerDental Temporaries 1979 - 1984As a working hygienist, I was acutely aware of the disruption my absence from the office could make in the schedule. It was based on that knowledge that at the age of 24 I entered the uncharted territory of dental staffing. With a modest start, I explored the viability of providing temporary staff to dentists and was pleased to find that, slowly but surely, interest in this type of service grew. I sold my company in 1984 to manage a start up dental practice with 11 operatories and my passion was born.
