In Jeans and Beard & Sons, I extended my expertise to freelance and technical designers. Over time, my dedication and expertise led me to be promoted to Senior Technical Designer. In my quest for perfection, I traveled to overseas factories, sharing knowledge on grade distribution, especially for larger sizes, ensuring a flawless fit for everybody.Driven by a passion for excellence, I pioneered establishing and standardizing MJ introductory fusible quality standards. I crafted a booklet, a beacon of knowledge for factories, guiding them toward impeccable craftsmanship. To further streamline our processes, I designed and standardized essential tools—a fusible submit form, fit comment template, and croqui adorned with basic measurements, simplifying the intricate art of garment creation.In my pursuit of simplicity, I created a sample status tracking chart, making monitoring progress a breeze. I expanded our Construction reference sketch library and Label Placement Manual, ensuring attention to every intricate detail. Across oceans and borders, I initiated and cultivated a pattern library, connecting with both overseas and domestic factories. Simultaneously, I crafted a physical sanctuary of creativity in NYO, housing in-house mock-ups, and muslins, a testament to our dedication to the craft.Amidst this whirlwind of innovation and creativity, I shouldered the responsibility of managing all woven products, from beachwear to showroom samples. I orchestrated fit schedules as show season loomed, ensuring our creations graced the runway flawlessly. Amid it all, I embraced the mentor role, guiding junior technical designers, nurturing their talents, and passing down the legacy of excellence. And in every stitch, every line, and every meticulous detail, the story of my passion for design and dedication to perfection unfolded.

In my role, I collaborated with a local in-house and off-site Patternmaker to enhance fit and create prototypes. I conducted seasonal development fittings alongside the Design team, including Creative Directors. Additionally, I worked closely with the Fabric and Trim team to provide domestic Factories with the necessary sample yardage and trims for proto-making. I ensured effective communication of all fit comments directly to the factory throughout the development and production stages. During the show season, I partnered with various departments to prepare for the show/lookbook, assisting with tasks such as sewing/painting trim, pressing/steaming samples, and coordinating model fittings. I also took on management responsibilities by mentoring a Junior Technical Designer, overseeing freelancers' workloads, and handling model bookings while managing fitting schedules and budgets.Furthermore, I was responsible for fitting various types of woven beachwear with different designers, market considerations, fit intentions, and models while managing the RTW workload. Regarding technical aspects, I collaborated with the Patternmaker to improve fit and develop prototypes, built and organized pattern libraries, simplified sample tracking charts, expanded construction reference sketches and Label Placement Manual, and organized fit samples by seasons and for sample sales. Additionally, I created mock-ups and drape muslins for factories as needed.

Focused primarily on dresses, blouses, and jumpsuits, collaborated with the Design team, in-house patternmakers, and the tech team throughout the development and production process. Maintained regular communication with overseas factories, managed sample requests from Design, and facilitated translations for presentations. Led the reorganization of the TOP closet and worked alongside Blue Label technical designers to establish an official RL construction sketch library.
