I served as Senior Vice President and managed a team that was responsible for community bank projects and acquisitions for large bank holding companies primarily in the southeast. During my tenure we developed over 100 de novo bank and thrift applications and assisted in numerous bank acquisitions. Our services included developing a strategy and timeline in accordance to the client's budget, creating a business plan and three-year financial pro formas, completing and filing all regulatory applications, recruiting qualified organizers, directors and executives, and managing all other regulatory and capital requirements to obtain a bank charter.

I managed the bank acquisition, regulatory applications and a public offering raising $25 million of capital to establish Florida Banks, Inc., the parent company of Florida Bank, N.A. which grew to approximately $1 billion in assets with 6 locations around the state. I served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Audit Committee. Florida Banks, Inc. was purchased by The South Financial Group, Inc., Greenville, South Carolina in 2004.
