Nancy Eklund Later is a freelance editor, project manager, and researcher based in New York City. Trained as an architectural historian, she specializes in assisting scholars, design professionals, and publishers in developing projects that thoughtfully explore the built environment.Later has developed more than 110 non-fiction works on architecture, urbanism, and other design related topics. Most of these volumes balance text with substantial visual content. Her editorial consultancy serves a broad range of authors, from individual practitioners and scholars at all levels of their professions to firms, non-profits, and educational institutions. Recent clients include the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Princeton School of Architecture, and the Buell Center at Columbia, as well as the publishers Lars Müller, Actar, Phaidon, and Princeton Architectural Press. Her work helping authors shape and place their projects has resulted in contracts with top trade and academic publishers, among them Harvard University Press, Yale University Press, Routledge, University of Virginia Press, Island Press, Palgrave/Macmillan, Ashgate, Scala, Black Dog, and Pearson/Peach Pit.
