 Lead the evaluation of Cytokine-induced Memory Like (ML) NK cells against solid tumors, particularly colorectal cancer, and melanoma. Lead the development and preclinical evaluation of Chimeric Antigen Receptors for NK cells. Collaborate in projects studying NK cell development and function in mouse and human cells.  Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the Laboratory

 Conducted research evaluating the role of ML NK cells against melanoma. Contributed to the evaluation of Chimeric Antigen Receptors for ML NK cells.  Led collaborative work within the laboratory as well as with external companies. Collaborated on a clinical trial evaluating immune correlates in patients that received cellular therapy with ML NK cells. Collaborated in projects studying NK cells development and function in mouse and human cells.  Mentored undergraduate students. Participated in academic meetings in the department and presented results of my research in scientific meetings (AACR, SITC, SNI-NK meeting)

Study of immune factors associated with protection during tuberculosis infection using mouse models.  Conducted research evaluating the development of new vaccines for Mycobacterium tuberculosis using mouse models in BSL3 facilities. Mentored school summer students rotating in the Laboratory.

 Performed isolation of human immune cells and mastered several techniques used to perform phenotypic and functional evaluation of T cells including ELISA, ELISPOT, Luminex, Flow cytometry.  Participated in field visits to trace patients with tuberculosis and to enroll in the studies.
