Nancy McMillan is partner at McMillan Group, a Westport, CT exhibit, architectural and communication design company, founded in 1985. McMillan Group will project manage the exhibit production ensuring design integrity as well as on time and on budget results. Besides her role as designer, she is also responsible for marketing and business management for McMillan Group. They specialize in exhibit, architectural, interior, graphic and lighting design as well as content development, engineering, project management and art direction for interactive and media production.Nancy has developed a process for the strategic implementation of multi-divisional trade show programs including the creation of exhibit architectural and graphic standards guidelines.Along with her partner, Charlie McMillan, her work has won multiple gold and silver design awards from IDSA, SEGD, Exhibitor, Graphis, Event Design, BMA, gdUSA, Event Marketing ExAwards, Event Design and Good Design. The two partners were one of only two firms ever awarded “Designers of the Year” by Exhibitor Magazine in 1989.Nancy and her partner's work has been featured in the following publications: The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, LD+A, Museum News, Exhibitor, Event Marketer, Event Design, Archi-tech, IDSA, SEGD, ABPM, Lighting Dimensions, Exhibitor News Network, Exhibit City News, Messe Jahrbuch (German), Messe & Event (Austrian), as well as in the following Annuals: Corporate Interiors, Frame and Trade Fair.Along with her partner, Charlie McMillan, Nancy has been a speaker, at the Exhibitor Show conference with talks entitled: “Design Critique Clinic” and “Lighting Design” as well as their talk at the 2007 Gravity Free Design Conference on designing the museum exhibition - “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs.” Nancy has written numerous articles on design for publications including Exhibitor Magazine and Briefings published by the Association of Briefing Program Managers.
