I was flexible between both brands topshop and topman, fully confident in problem solving any situation to the best of my ability. I was a source of support to the team, often being their first port of call for help in any situation as an experienced member of staff. Would also push myself and the team to drive multi channel sales, such as iPad sales and e-receipts. Have been involved in several different roles within the store including visual merchandising, sales assistant and back of house (replenishment, sending packages to customers). For part of my MSc Social Psychology course, I was required to complete a short placement at an institution of my choice. I was able to complete my placement at the Beeshaw Group, a care home aiming to rehabilitate those with acquired brain injuries, using an individual, person-centred approach to care. I was able to complete my placement at the Beeshaw Group, a care home aiming to rehabilitate those with acquired brain injuries, using an individual, person-centred approach to care. From February 2020 to March 2020 I was able to shadow the consultant, rehabilitation support worker, social workers, community mental health workers and management, learning how the company adapts continuously to cater for each clients' needs: creating care plans and fulfilling risk assessments, performing joint supervision for each client, providing 1-1 care if necessary, and staff completing PDP's to ensure they have all the relevant and necessary training. I was able to meet each client and get to know them beyond what is detailed in their notes, which is necessary with person-centred approach care. I was also able to shadow meetings with social workers and Norfolk County Council mental health community workers that aim to assist each client whilst in care, which allowed me to gain an insight into how the business integrates local and community resources in order to ensure the best care.This placement gave me insight into how a care home is run, from both the bottom-up and top-down in communication between staff, clients and management, with a person-centred approach, and was invaluable in providing me experience in this field.
