Grant Management Specialist
Current• Managed 69 active DNA Capacity Enhancement and Backlog Reduction awards totalling $57,638.130.00. • Responsible for all aspects of grant award management including maintaining grant file, monitoring award budgets, processing grant adjustments, and conducting in-depth monitoring for specific awards. • Perform a variety of pre-award functions for grants including conducting financial reviews of applicant’s budget and budget narrative to ensure the cost are reasonable, necessary, allowable, and justified.• Perform a variety of post award functions including post award reviews and analyses to identify and resolve programmatic, financial, and administrative issues.• Processed closeout of awards successfully without any discrepancies ensuring grantee are following programmatic, administrative, and fiscal requirements of relevant statutes, regulations, polices, guidelines.• Identify issues, make recommendations to resolve problems, and ensures special conditions are in place.• Assist in responding to inquiries concerning award compliance.• Answer question and resolves problems requiring the interpretation of policies and procedures.• Work cooperatively with NIJ colleagues, including scientists and Division/Office Directors.• Ensure all required reports and deliverables are submitted in the time frame specified by the terms and conditions of the award.• Independently monitors grants to assess compliance with regulatory, policy and reporting requirements, such as monitoring grants to ensure compliance with award provisions and to track financial performance trends.• Collects and prepares information for on-site monitoring visits utilized to monitor the awardee’s compliance with the administrative, financial and programmatic requirements of the award.
