As more 3rd party payers include hearing aid coverage as part of a benefits package, audiology and hearing aid dispensing practices may find that a greater percentage of their clients have a plan that will pay, partially or in full, for their hearing aids. My clients show that provider submission of claims, with follow-up to assure correct payment, greatly increases repeat business. Hearing aid claims are still, however, among the most difficult claims to be processed and paid.
