Running my own design studio has exposed me to every aspect of the creative process including copywriting, photography, digital design, and marketing. As a small studio I was often required to provide these services to my clients, myself. Even though most of my career has focused on graphic design in it’s various forms (including but not limited to; presentations, websites, exhibit graphics, digital advertising, direct mail, signage and print), I consider the fields of Design and Marketing to be quite intertwined. To be a great designer you need to understand marketing. With the explosion of social media and digital marketing, designers are very often asked to cross fields and I think I have done this quite well.My experience in working with large Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses has given me the perspective to draw on my experiences and provide a unique product for each client that I work with. True graphic design emulates the essence of the personality of a business and the products and services that they provide. All while communicating the corporate message that the client has built their business on.Project management is key to a successful marketing plan. Attention to detail and effective project planning with time management ensures a timely plan implementation and an effective campaign. My experience in managing every aspect of a project, from concept development, through the printing process or electronic communication development, and to the targeted audience ensures a successful launch and satisfied customer.
