Acquisitions And Collection Development Supervisor
Current• Supervise and coordinate system-wide collection development activities for a mid-size library with seven locations, serving a 360,000 population. Serve as a team leader of the collection development staff, directing team members in the management of print, periodical, audio/visual, and online materials. • Administer a 1 million collection budget annually. Formulate and prepare the annual collection development budget, keep selectors infomed about monetary expenditures, and monitor ongoing expenditure levels throughout the fiscal year. Develop and produce reports to assess the quality and scope of the collection using circulation, financial and collection data. • Manage ILL and acquisitions staff to ensure efficient and well-documented placement of orders, receipt of shipments, payment of invoices, and ILL requests. Develop process improvements to increase efficiency of the acquisitions and ILL section. Oversee two part-time clerical positions including the selection of new hires, effectively communicating with employees, managing workflow and assessing staff performance.
