Most recently, I worked for three years at a community based hospital in the areas of Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis and Chemistry, including both automated and manual testing. My Blood Bank experience includes 12 years in a level I trauma center plus liver transplant and high risk cardiac surgeries. In all areas of the lab, I am conscientious, thorough, and efficient, demonstrating professionalism and accuracy.   Worked independently in each department, evening shift. Performed type and screen, crossmatches, antibody identification and antigen typing as well as elutions and titers as indicated. I also prepared blood products for transfusion and dispensed blood products. In Hematology, I ran CBC's on the Beckman Coulter DxH analyzer coagulation tests on the Siemens BCS analyzer. I also prepared and read peripheral smears (manual differentials), body fluid cell counts including microscopic analysis, and several other manual tests. For urinalysis, I ran the Arkray/Iris analyzer and did manual microscopic analysis as indicated. Have some experience with Vitros 5600 chemistry analyzer as well.
