I collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to care for patients with chronic pain. I provide pain-specific behavioral health treatment for individuals and groups. I also provide support and advocacy to patients and their families. I initiated and co-developed the curriculum for our pain education series and continue to teach in that series. I serve as a clinical/program lead and coach/support our clinical staff, as well as connect them to educational resources. I collaborate with our staff to develop program initiatives. I serve as a liaison to community partners.

I provided crisis/emergency services in a community mental health setting. I evaluated the safety of individuals (all ages) in various community settings, including hospitals, correctional centers, other public spaces, and at the mental health center itself. I initiated petitions for involuntary psychiatric stabilization when necessary and provided court testimony. I completed initial mental health assessments to individuals of all ages at the mental health center for non-emergency services. I served as an interim program manager in my department, the Access Center.

I provided program coordination in a number of different settings at Wyandot Center during my tenure there, including Liaison services to Osawatomie State Hospital and KU Medical Center (Adult Inpatient Services and the Crisis Stabilization Center in the ED). I later worked as a Service Coordinator in Comprehensive Outpatient Services and supervised several psychotherapists, the Mobile Crisis Team and Crisis Clinic. I provided clinical supervision for MSW's working on clinical licensure. During my entire tenure with Wyandot, I provided emergency mental health screenings for patients in crisis who were thought to be at risk of harming themselves or others. I helped facilitate psychiatric admissions when necessary and coordinated support needs for those who were able to avoid inpatient admission.
