About Nancy Posey
I have been an educator for most of my career. I have taught English (composition and literature) since 1990. I spent 17 years at the high school level, before moving to the community college. I retired from NC in 2015, after which I have taught as an adjunct in NC and TN. Currently I am teaching composition, supervising student teachers, and completing an EdD in educational leadership. I have also taught in the university's Lifelong Learning program.For the last 15-20 years, I have published poetry and book reviews. In the last 4-5 years, I have focused more of my freelance writing on music journalism, writing regularly for Bluegrass Unlimited, NO Depression magazine, and Music City Music Magazine. I am a strong writer/editor.I frequently present sessions at women's conferences and other events. I also help to facilitate songwriting workshops held by Louisa Branscomb.
