Nancy is a healthcare innovation thought-leader and wellness advocate. She has a broad depth of experience in software and product development, with over 35 years in the field. Nancy and her teams have been responsible for the development of major systems and solutions, including integration, interoperability, mobile apps, web-based apps, data-centric solutions, and analytics. She and her teams were early adopters of the FHIR API, doing early FHIR integration and FHIR app development. Nancy has been an active member of the HEART interoperability workgroup which created profiles to enable secure patient mediated data exchange. These profiles are based on the FHIR API, OAuth, OpenID Connect and UMA (User-Managed Access). HEART provides a secure solution to enable seamless data interoperability in a patient mediated exchange paradigm, solving many of the gaps in today's healthcare delivery system. Nancy is also an active member of the CARIN Consumer ID Authentication Workgroup, supporting best practices and leading-edge identity and authentication. She is a member of the Kantara Initiative's User-Managed Access workgroups and Kantara's consent standardization workgroups. Each of these activities supports the underlying tenants to achieve truly seamless interoperability. Nancy's extensive operations and management experience help her apply pragmatic solutions to the many challenges we face in HealthCare today. Nancy is passionate about improving health and wellness while reducing the cost of healthcare through patient engagement, wellness initiatives, and reducing provider burden so that they can focus on patient needs.

Nancy's involvement was in the Airline and Banking industries and she was responsible for developing a major ATM system at the onset of development of ATM systems. That system included a fully redundant network for a major west coast bank.INCOTERM was a very successful company that delivered innovation solutions using leading edge technology. INCOTERM employees are still in touch today as they created an esprit de corps which fostered that family relationship.

EngineerRaytheon Jul 1972 - 1975Arlington, Va, UsDeveloped software and documentation for an early compiler. Developed system software for a radar system that included testing the individual interfaces. Deployed and tested system in White Sands in a C130. This system was written in assembly language on a mini-computere (pre-microprocessor).This second assignment at Raytheon was an innovative and entrepreneurial experience, which was surprising to find in those early days of software development in a defense organization. Individuals were picked from the various required fields of expertise and we were physically moved to a separate location where we embarked on a normal 15-hour day. Our team was as committed and dedicated as any entrepreneurial start up as we developed innovative solutions.
