Attorney representing indigent clients in criminal matters from the beginning of their cases to the conclusion. I appear on behalf of clients at arraignments, pre-trials, preliminary examinations, motion hearings, bond hearings, and trials. I represent clients with state felony charges, including capital offenses. I am responsible for a monthly caseload of approximately 40 cases on average. I am responsible for all aspects of representation; negotiating plea agreements, formulating a defense, trial strategy, researching legal issues, drafting and filing the appropriate motions and briefs, conducting investigation for trial preparation, interviewing witnesses, and preparing the case and client for trial. I have served as lead attorney in more than 80 felony trials, including murder trials. Additionally, I have worked on appeals, and have argued in front of the Michigan Court of Appeals.
