Developed, recruited, directed and grew the Development organization from 6 developers to a multidisciplinary team of 55+ individuals, transitioning the organization from an ‘IT as overhead’ culture to a strategic contributor to the success of Rent-A-Center. Enhanced service offerings across all business domains, including: • Operations Services – built and supported three dozen ASP and Java based applications across 12 diverse business areas, allowing the business to more effectively track and monitor store activities • Inventory Management – supported and enhanced a customized Automated Store Replenishment system used to determine appropriate inventory levels and order points for 3500 stores; streamlined operations and reduced costs by centralizing the replenishment process• Merchandising – designed, supported and configured Oracle’s Retail Merchandising System for use in the domestic United States, Canada and Mexico. Improved customer and supplier response by replacing a manual invoice matching process with Oracle’s Retail Invoice Match application; enhanced EDI processes and procedures• Legacy POS – directed all development and enhancement activities for current state Point of Sale system across all lines of business; implemented processes and procedures to improve quality of deliverables to the field; identified and facilitated process and systems changes required to support the Mexico market, as well as new lines of business, and managed risks.• Marketing and Advertising – built an 8 member team to transition support and enhancement of Siebel’s Customer Relationship Management system from offshore; greatly improved the Sales Lead Generation Tool and Marketing’s ability to analyze customer data, increase customer loyalty and satisfaction by collaboration and better tracking of customer needs and history

Project went from Request for Proposal phase through the consolidation of 31 Unilin Group entities within a three month period to support the financial close obligations dictated by the acquisition. • Implemented and supported J D Edward’s purchasing, inventory management and preventive maintenance applications at nine manufacturing facilities in the United State and one in Mexico.• Supported internally developed barcode applications and manufacturing costing solutions• Created roadmaps, business cases, and supporting information for executive business team to analyze and prioritize all IT investments for the manufacturing domain.

Internet portal for the upstream oil and gas industry. Upstreaminfo was a joint venture of Chevron, EDS, Raytheon and the Information Store (a geosciences and petroleum engineering software boutique) during the dot-com boom. Upstream was a casualty of the dot-com bust.Facilitated the development of the Upstreaminfo.com portal and delivery mechanisms for serving up exploration data.

Snyder was engaged in the production, development, acquisition and exploration of domestic oil and gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico, Rocky Mountains and northern Louisiana. The company ultimately merged with Santa Fe Energy Resources.Defined and implemented the Company’s year 2000 remediation plan and directed 10 programmer/analysts in support of all LAN based and AS400 application systems

Supported all IBM mainframe application systems and development of PC/LAN based systems; personally developed PC based system for the Tax Department to compute gain/loss, IDC recapture, depreciation recapture and provide comparison of ‘what if’ scenarios; facilitated development of a budget reconciliation system for operated leases to compare budget versus actual costs and monthly production volumes involving an annual net operating income of over $124 million.
