Primary responsibilities are acquisitions of properties, land development and regulatory agency activities to meet division financial objectives. - Develop/continue relationships with land developers in order to obtain developed lots in targeted areas.- Meet with developers, brokers and landowners to identify raw land tracts for possible acquisition.- Negotiate deal terms with outside parties and assist in the negotiation of lot purchase and land purchase contracts.- Maintain thorough knowledge of all lot and land transactions within target markets.•Manage the entitlement process for all owned and contracted land assets for the Austin Division•Manage consultants to achieve project schedules as it relates to entitlements•Assist in negotiation Development Agreements, PUDs/Zoning Agreements, Site Development Permits, Variances, etc. with local municipalities•Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of new acquisitions to achieve the Division’s Business Plan•Track deadlines of development issues •Prepare monthly Land Status Report•Project schedule•Collect all pertinent data and prepare report for potential acquisitions per company procedure•Keep abreast of local market land transactions•Advise Vice President, Land Resources of any potential problems or issues and offer suggestions for resolution•Review land purchase contracts and review with outside law firm and in-house counsel
