Member of Domestic Finance Leadership team and of Global Tax Leadership team.Responsible for developing sustainable tax strategies across all direct and indirect taxes, optimizing tax results while complying with all laws and regulations within a strong control framework.Responsible for creating a robust skilled high performing tax team with emphasis on developing leadership and business partnering skills, enhancing tax technical knowledge of staff and business acumen while embedding the Ethos of the organization, Bold, Fast, Diverse, Responsible, Empowered throughout the tax team.Responsible for leading the application of a continuous improvement mindset across the department driving data and technology improvements consistent with best practices and global platforms while maintaining strong SOX compliant internal controlsResponsible for building strong collaborative relationships with various business partners in the organization including but not limited to, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Human Resources, Operations, Procurement, Marketing and Legal to optimize tax results consistent with commercial objectives, strategic and operational, domestic and globalSupports the business with tax optimization of all M&A including overseeing due diligence, advising on the tax consequences of different structures, contract negotiations and on post-acquisition implementationsAssists in the design of effective and efficient business structures optimizing tax results for new and traditional product categories.Work with Treasury to balance tax planning and cash management strategies to optimize effective cash management and optimum debt profiles while minimizing cash tax impacts and optimizing the effective tax rateParticipate in industry groups and forums to remain current with respect to best practices, technical knowledge and audit trends and practices by various tax jurisdictionsResponsible for budgets and actuals of department cost centre
