Dr. Swartz began her career as a psychotherapist at Swarthmore College after receiving an MS Degree in Psych Services and completing coursework as a Ph.D. candidate in Counseling Psych at the Univ of PA. She returned to the Univ of PA in the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Program and was endorsed by the AOA Honor Medical Society when she received her MD at the Medical College of PA. She completed an internship at Lankenau Hospital, a residency in ophthalmology at Scheie Eye Institute (Univ of PA), and two fellowships (Neuro-Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery) at Wills Eye Hospital. Among many faculty appointments, Dr. Swartz is Director of Facial Rejuvenation in the Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She has private offices in Bala Cynwyd, PA and Voorhees, NJ. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. She has authored many book chapters, abstracts, and articles in peer reviewed medical journals. She has served as an advisor, medical consultant, and speaker for several pharmaceutical companies, and is currently an advisor and speaker for Allergan Medical Facial Aesthetics, Inc. and an advisor to Valeant Pharmaceuticals and Solta Medical. She served on the editorial board for a dermatology education initiative, thederm.org. Dr. Swartz is a sought-after lecturer and presenter on topics related to cosmetic surgery and oculofacial plastic surgery and teaches cosmetic surgeons throughout the world. She is married to her medical partner, Dr. Marc Cohen, and they have five wonderful children. Their practice is an extension of their family with every one of their wonderful staff devoted to making sure that each of their patients can take advantage of the doctors’ skill and artistry and receives the best possible care available.
